EunJoung Cho is a painter based in Seoul, Korea.
She explores the balance of mind through painting, addressing the weight of emotion and relational distance through floating forms and unexpected arrangements. Rather than presenting balance itself, her work centers on the process of approaching it.
This perspective unfolds through two conceptual frameworks.
The Shape of Weight (Lightness Series) focuses on the lightness and heaviness of emotion—the notion of weight itself.
The Shape of Distance (Orbit Series) examines relational distance as it forms between emotions, between emotion and the self, and between people.
Together, the two series approach the balance of mind through distinct visual and emotional languages.
조은정은 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 회화 작가이다.
그녀는 ‘마음의 균형’을 회화로 탐구하며, 부유하는 형상과 낯선 배치를 통해 감정의 무게와 관계적 거리를 다룬다. 이 작업은 균형 그 자체를 제시하기보다는, 균형에 다가가는 과정을 중심에 둔다.
이 시선은 두 개의 개념적 틀로 확장된다.
