2019.08.23ENG∣ KOR 인간의 이중적 조건 이선영(미술평론가) 조은정의 ‘균형점’ 전은 의식과 무의식, 현실과 환상, 이성과 욕망, 주체와 타자 사이의 경계 위에 구축된다. 통상적으로 균형이라 함은 대조군들 사이의 균형을 말한다. 균형은 경계 위에서 일어난다. 작가는 색감의 조정을 통해 어느 영역이라고도 할 수 없는 미지의 장소를 표시한다. 그림들은 엷게 바랜듯한 무채색 색감에 고요한 정지감과 신비가 특징이다. 보통 꿈이 흑백임을 생각한다면, 다소간 비현실적인 공기에 잠겨있는 조은정의 그림은 꿈같은 풍경이다. 예술이라는 창을 통해서 누군가의 꿈을 볼 수 있는 것은 흥미롭다. 조은정의 작품에서 예술의 창을 통해 보이는 ‘세계’란 비가시적인 세계를 포함한다. 작품은 보이는 것을 통해 보이지 않는 것을 가리..
